2010 Maui Vacation

It was our 25th anniversary this year and since she has been planning a vacation to any island in Hawaii for about 28 years, we went to Maui for our big summer vacation this year. We drove up to the Haleakala crater the first full day we were there. What can I say. Look at the pictures of the sunrise, they’re amazing. We took a helicopter tour of the entire island, drove the road to Hana and back stopping at nearly every site that there was to see and including a couple of fairly lengthy hikes. We also spent a day in Lahaina, attended both “The Feast at Lele” and also “The Old Lahaina” luau’s, hiked a number of trails to pools and waterfalls, and dined at some amazing restaurants. Of course no trip to Maui would be complete without spending plenty of time at the beaches and getting in a little snorkeling. If you haven’t been there, add a trip to Maui to your list of things to do before you die.
